Tiger Painting and Collage – After exploring God’s pattern for mixing secondary colours from the three primary colours students enjoyed the process of painting their own orange and green paper. Using oil pastels, they then used shapes and lines to draw tigers on the orange paper and cut out a variety of leaves to put with their tiger in a unique jungle background.
Layered Abstract Shape Paintings - These stunning artworks were inspired by the Artist Jennifer Bryant. Students learnt that abstract art consists of line, shape and colour. Students built up their artworks starting with textured shapes of either warm or cool colours. They added a combination of painted lines and shapes in the same colour palette. After several layers, students introduced shapes in the opposite colour pallet, as well as metallic and black painted lines and shapes for impact.
