Character Development
At Livingstone Christian College, we believe that true education goes beyond academics. It’s about forming students who reflect Christ in character, integrity, and purpose. Our mission is to educate for eternity and equip for life—and that includes helping every student grow into a young person of conviction, compassion, and courage.

Our whole-school Character Development program is designed to guide students from Prep to Year 12 through age-appropriate, Christ-centered formation. With a clear Biblical focus, each year level sees students develop through Pastoral Care lessons, interactive Character Development Days, and a range of personal development programs.
Key programs include:
-
Respectful Relationships – A sequential and Biblically grounded curriculum covering topics such as emotional regulation, proactive communication, resilience, advocacy, and negotiation. Students learn to value themselves and others, while engaging with Scripture, human rights, and relevant laws.
-
Bridge Builders – An essential conflict resolution and relationship tool used across the school to equip students with practical, restorative strategies for dealing with tension and rebuilding trust.
-
My Life Rulz – A foundational framework introduced early in the journey to help students develop emotional awareness and self-control, while reinforcing God’s truth about identity and choices.
-
Character Development Days – Held each semester, these days allow students to engage in real-life, age-appropriate experiences that reinforce our core values through worship, workshops, panels, and peer discussions.
Through it all, our students are encouraged to take ownership of their growth, contribute to their community, and live lives that honour Christ. At Livingstone, character is not an optional extra—it is part of who we are and who we are becoming.
