Back to School in 2019

Welcome to 2019! Here's some handy tips and information as we begin the 2019 academic year.

1. First Day for Term 1, 2019

It’s one thing to be prepared for the school year, but another thing to turn up to school on the wrong day. Term 1 for ALL students begins on Tuesday 29th January, 2019.

2. School Times

School begins for all students at 8.25am and concludes at 3.05pm. It’s a great idea to come half an hour earlier to find yourself a park and to familiarise your child with their class and surroundings.

3. Important Phone Numbers

Before you worry about an unknown number popping up on your screen, make sure you save the following important numbers to your Phone Contacts:

  • Student Services - (07) 5540 8642
  • Administration - (07) 5540 8600
  • Uniform Shop - (07) 5540 8646

4. Meet The Teachers - Primary

To help you get familiar with your child’s teacher and other students, there is a Meet The Teacher Day organised for students from Prep to Year 6. Drop in anytime between 9am - 11am on Friday 25th January to check out your classroom.

5. Year 7 Orientation

To help our Year 7 students with the transition from Primary to Secondary school, there is an orientation program organised for all students going into Year 7 in 2019 from 9am - 11am on Friday 25th January. More information about this morning will be emailed to parents of Year 7 students.

6. Parking & Drop-off Zones

Parking for parents is available in the Junior School Car Park (northern end of the campus) and there are short-term carparks available in front of the Administration Building. Limited street parking is available. We ask our parents to be respectful of our neighbours by not blocking any driveways and being mindful of other local traffic.

If you are happy to drop your child off instead of parking, there are designated Drop-off/Pick-up zones designed for this purpose. These are located in the Junior School Car Park and in front of the MPC building. Please ensure that you only go through these zones when your child is already there, otherwise traffic blockages will form.

7. Book Packs

Primary students can collect their book packs during Meet The Teacher Day or on the first day of school. Secondary students will receive their book packs on the first day of school.
